Old Hickory, TN- ASGCA architects Jeff Blume and Jerry Lemons collaborated on the recent bunker renovation at Old Hickory Country Club outside of Nashville, TN. Originally built in 1926, all bunkers were completely reshaped. The addition, removal, and repositioning of bunkers restored a classic look and feel to the facility. The Better Billy Bunker method was utilized in all bunkers on the project and approximately 1/3 of the bunkers now feature revetted faces. This cutting edge application provides an authentic revetted look. Unlike traditional stacked sod bunkers, this application provides a long lasting solution. BBB Licensed Installer Fore Front Construction teamed with Dan Johnson, GCSAA and his in-house staff to ensure the project was completed on time and under budget. The performance, playability, and classic look have received rave reviews from both members and guests alike.
