Naples/Sarasota, FL - BBB Licensed Installers are staying busy in Southwest Florida. Here's a quick overview of some happenings in the Sunshine State:
Mediterra Golf Club
- A renovation at this spectacular Naples, FL facility is in full swing with Leibold Irrigation overseeing the changes. After a trial with different bunker construction methods in 2014, a complete switch to BBB was included in the project.
The Oaks Club
- Jason Straka, ASGCA of Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design is the lead architect for the total makeover of The Oaks Club in Sarasota, FL. Working closely with superintendent Nick Kearns, GCSAA, BBB Certified Installer Southeastern Golf is the contractor for the project. All bunkers are being constructed using the BBB method.
Pelicans Nest Golf Club
-Jan Bel Jan, ASGCA is at the helm of a greens and bunker renovation at Pelicans Nest Golf Club in Bonita Springs, FL. Sanders Golf is the BBB Certified Installer for the renovation and superintendent Jason Zimmerman, GCSAA is looking forward to the ease of maintenance that comes with BBB.
Laurel Oak Country Club
- After a complete greenside bunker renovation last year on their West Course, Total Turf Golf Services is back at it on the Gary Player designed East Course. Bunkers are being switched to BBB in combination with a greens renovation. Superintendent Zach Lane, GCSAA reports the West Course bunkers have been a hit with his staff and members alike.
