Northern California - After battling the well documented drought for all of 2014, California was subjected to recent intense rainfall with many areas receiving in excess of 4" in a very short period of time. While our friends out west continue to battle these weather extremes, we were happy to hear that courses with Better Billy Bunkers had bunkers that performed beautifully. Mark McKinney, CGCS at Del Paso Country Club (2015 Senior US Open) reported that their over 120,000 s/f of bunkers had virtually zero washouts and NO contamination. Lonnie Stevens of Blackhawk CC in Danville, CA had a similar experience: "After 4" of rain in 24 hours, we had no puddles and NO washouts whatsoever. We couldn't be happier."
