Nashville, TN - Long a leader in the world of golf course construction and renovation, it is no surprise that Landscapes Unlimited is completing four major Better Billy Bunker projects simultaneously. One of the most well known stops on the PGA Tour – TPC Scottsdale – is undergoing a complete renovation led by Tom Weiskopf. The project includes Better Billy Bunkers throughout and the players (and rowdies on the 16th hole) will be greeted with spectacular upgrades at next spring’s Waste Management Open.
In Virginia, Lester George is the architect for the Independence Golf Club’s bunker renovation. The tweaks to this Tom Fazio layout will feature Better Billy Bunkers wall to wall as will the Lonnie Poole Golf Club at NC State University in Raleigh, NC. Landscapes Unlimited has just begun a massive bunker renovation at this Arnold Palmer designed facility. With close to 5 acres of bunkers, the choice to use the BBB construction method was made with ease of maintenance in mind.
Finally, Better Billy Bunkers are just part of a large scale renovation of the Rookery at Marco in Naples, FL. When complete, this Marriott facility promises to be one of the best in golf rich Southwest Florida.
