Plano, Texas – Courses at Watters Creek, formerly Chase Oaks Golf Club, is currently undergoing a complete renovation. During this renovation the golf club will utilize the opportunity to re-drain and protect their bunkers from heavy rains.The contractor for the renovations, Medalist Golf, based in Cumming, GA is installing the Better Billy Bunker Method in all bunkers at Courses at Watters Creek.
Medalist Golf is one of ten licensed installers of the Better Billy Bunker throughout the world. Better Billy Bunker, Inc. uses only the best contractors as licensed installers and all have received extensive classroom and field training. The extensive training provided by Better Billy Bunker Inc. is provided to each certified licensed installer to ensure the utmost in customer satisfaction.
This is not the Better Billy Bunker’s first stop in Texas. Last summer, another Plano golf course utilized the Better Billy Bunker Method during its bunker renovation. Pecan Hollow Golf Club underwent a complete renovation – overseen by Weibring Wolfard Golf Design. The renovation was completed by Better Billy Bunker licensed installer, TDI Golf. Pecan Hollow Superintendent Paul Madewell had this to say about the Better Billy Bunker, “Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the product. The bunkers here at Pecan Hollow have already experienced several intense Texas downpours and I have yet to see a grain of sand wash. This not only saves us time and labor for other maintenance tasks, but also gives the golfer excellent playability following even the heaviest downpour. When most courses in the area are sending their staff out with pumps and shovels, the staff at Pecan Hollow leaves the shop armed with nothing more than a leaf rake.”
